Rich Littlehale
Co-founder, Chief Strategy Officer
Rich is the fearless co-founder of YouRenew, driving people to stick to the plan, work hard, and execute. He started the company in his dorm at Yale University with classmate Bob Casey, thinking of a way to recycle his old BlackBerry and digital camera. He believes passionately that if given a transparent and convenient solution, people would be excited to responsibly reuse and recycle their old electronics. At work, he spends most of his time strategizing and thinking up cool ways to encourage people to recycle and reuse their old electronics. Before YouRenew.com, Rich founded a nonprofit startup called Party for a Cause Foundation that encouraged students on campus to throw events for charity. Outside of recycling and creative thinking, Rich loves to ski, play his guitar and rowed on the Yale crew team. Rich will complete his Yale degree in 2010.
Bob Casey
Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer
Bob Casey co-founded YouRenew in the spring of 2008 with friend and Yale classmate Rich Littlehale. After starting a transit company, a foray into the beverage industry, and a number of other startup attempts, Bob has found his calling extending the lives of used electronics. Bob runs the day-to-day operations at YouRenew, where he oversees processing, sales, and recycling of the devices that come through the door. When he's not pushing full steam ahead to make the process more efficient, Bob enjoys running, a good steak and traveling (often to the best city in the country, his hometown Chicago). Bob will complete his Yale degree in 2010.
Joe Pappalardo
Director of Business Development
Joe joined YouRenew in 2009 as Director of Business Development. After graduating from Yale in 2008, Joe spent a year at Morgan Stanley's Private Wealth Management Division as a research analyst. Having maintained a long-time friendship with Rich and Bob, Joe gladly accepted YouRenew's offer to return to lead the company's business development efforts. Since joining, Joe has focused on developing YouRenew's Corporate Electronics Responsibility Program, a platform that makes YouRenew.com's trade-in service easily accessible to large organizations. When taking time a away from renewing electronics, Joe spends his time playing basketball, skiing, exhibiting a useless knowledge of movie trivia, and daydreaming with Bob about maybe one day actually playing golf.
James Johnson
Director of Operations
James Johnson joined the YouRenew team in the spring of 2009 after completing his Bachelor of Arts in History at Yale. James has worked previously for Delaware Investments and GlaxoSmithKline as a summer intern. As an undergraduate he was a member of the Varsity Lightweight Crew Team and the Student Investment Group. James works with COO Bob Casey in Operations, running the day-to-day flow of electronics. When he is not in the office, James likes watching the Philadelphia Eagles and working out.
David Walker
Director of Marketing
David Walker joined YouRenew as the Director of Marketing in 2009. A former Yale student himself, he met co-founders Rich Littlehale and Bob Casey in school and immediately knew he wanted to be a part of YouRenew.com. David believes that YouRenew.com will change the world and is passionate about spreading the word that you can GET PAID to renew your old gadgets. Prior to YouRenew.com, David started a david design, a painting and photography company that he still runs. When he's not at work or traveling, David likes to run, bike, ski, paint and take photographs with his Nikon D60... that he bought used so that a new one didn't need to be made.
